  • Bio

Thee Dirtybeats is a high-energy garage rock band specializing in the "roots of Iggy": selections of rare 60s garage and psychedelia from NC and elsewhere, each chosen for its swaggering, lip-curling potential. .... For inspiration, Thee Dirtybeats draw heavily from "Tobacco-A-Go Go" Ken Freidman's 3 volume compilation of extinct NC garage rock bands from the 1960s, and from all garage bands and fans the world over, who continue to renew rock and roll by taking it back to its most primitive, up-from-the-muck roots.

For inspiration, Thee Dirtybeats draws heavily from "Tobacco-A-Go Go" volumes I-III, a brilliant compilation of extinct NC garage rock bands from the 1960s, and from all garage bands and their fans the world over, who continue to renew rock and roll by taking it back to its most primitive, up-from-the-muck roots.
