Sounds Like
Spring, summer, autumn and winter. Well, maybe not spring.
The Effras are a five-piece based in Norwood, South London, where the River
Effra rises and flows underground until it reaches the Thames at Vauxhall.
The sound (of the band, not the Effra) is rock with a tinge of country and folk, with songs about steam engines, lost
rivers and living in SE19. Byrds, Kinks, Elvis Costello and early REM are
key influences.
hey Andrew, this is Alex, and this, as promissed, is my message to you. Corinne was on your page so that jogged my memory... still love "down in the effra". so yes this is my music page, but some of the stuff ive got up has a VERY long way to go! anyway take it easy and i'd imagine we'll probably meet again soon,
