   About Thee Immortals
Hello, our band is called Thee Immortals. We are a San Francisco Blues based band but also could fall under Root, Jazz, New Jazz, Blues, Funk, Psychedelia, Jam, and Latin genres. We believe we have the freshest new sound out there...yet, we always pay tribute to our musical mentors from the past...hence our name "Thee Immortals". ~~~~ MICHAEL (Eklectic Mud) HATFIELD, our Guitar player and vocalist, channels root Blues from Howlin Wolf to Electric Mud stinging the air with his own flair for Free Jazz mixed with Psychedelia and Mississippi Mud. HATFIELD also throws out some of the gritiest vocals around and adds the abient sound to the mix.~~~~ Our Sax man GARY (GATO) CASTRO digs deep searching for the same keys to music and life that John Coltrane himself searched for. GATO also blow Harp with the best of them drawing the "truth from his youth" in San Francisco's Noe Valley while adding Jazz Beat Poetry and a synth sax that'll blow your mind. ~~~~ PAUL (T~Time) TURNER, our Bass Player makes it all possible with his deep pocket vibe and soul stirring grooves opening up the universe and allowing us to play to the Heavens. ~~~~ ROBERT (CHOPS) HOUTMAN, Drummer extrodinaire. Robert brings a touch of class to the table...hopefully it will rub off on the rest of us. His intensity and all hearing ear sets us apart from other bands. ~~~~ DAVID (Dizzie D) BERGER, percussionist/bell ringer...Diz uses all of his senses to bring our music to it's upmost mystical magical heights. He too has been heaven sent ~~~~ Thee Immortals...Jazz, Blues, Funk...a mix of Art and Music........music raised deep in the heart of all of us and brought forth with honesty and joy.......If and when we try to develop some sort of "quantum relativity" where each individual has his own view of music, blues or jazz, then what is to prevent the sounds from getting "out of sync" between observers and the music itself? Thus summoned Thee Immortal Guard from past civilizations...The one true force of Heaven's Angels sent to earth to guard we mere men from the evils of the underworld. Thee Immortal Guard will prevent any obstacles of such from entering the dimension laid aside for the endeavors of our musical quest. Play the music from within and groove...dig deep and groove. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ..This profile was edited with MySpace Profile Editor Art work by Milce' ~ friscoartist@yahoo.com ~ band ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
