The Elvis Suicide’s story is as wired as their music and there’s a strong sense that there’s no such thing as glory for this band unless it is by the most unconventional of means. Based in Glasgow, The Elvis Suicide bypassed the traditional stage shows of their peers and chose instead to execute their riotous performances in such glamorous locations as a disused nunnery and a fetish club.
In May 2008 the band unleashed their debut 7” single, the Sci-Fi Steven of Bis produced, "Surveying the Young Professionals". The single was met with great acclaim across Europe and pricked up some ears Stateside too, with upstarts Titus Andronicus and the legendary John “Speedo” Reiss (Rocket From The Crypt) both salivating over the band. A 7-Track EP "Sweethearts" followed. Recorded in one hell raising day it was released May 2009 to yet more plaudits. The Elvis Suicide phenomenon was beginning to stretch far and wide and the band were invited to share stages with the likes of The Dwarves, Crystal Antlers, Black Lips, The Constantines, and Shy Child.
Here are some wise uttered about The Elvis Suicide and their latest E.P. release, "Sweethearts". Heed them well, peasants.....
"Rocket from the Crypt and The Clash jamming with Hank Williams and The Pixies whilst The Ramones look on and The Gaslight Anthem sit in the corner"
Die Shellsuit Die
"...The Stooges having a drunken bar brawl with the Pixies”
Is This Music?
"Part Clash and part Hives, they certainly do what they do rather well." Artrocker
"They never slow the pace, but as the set wears on, the more subtle structures become clear. Their single-mindedness is breathtaking, their music stripped of the pretension that mars so much rock." The Skinny
"My only criticism here is that I have to keep getting up to play it (Surveying The Young Professionals) again"- 4/5"
MusicNews.com
"Electrifying band, they‘re definitely onto something"
Jeremy Chick, Subba-Culture
"Franz Ferdinand on 10 Red Bulls. It’s arch art rock with a phlegm-filled punk attitude, a blitzkrieg wall of sonic rage. This band sound like a gang and you’ll want to join."
Daily Record
"There's something fresh and exciting about this band!"
Veglam (France)
"Fast, furious and lots of fun, that's the way it should be done".
Vic Galloway, Radio 1
"Whether "Sweethearts" is indeed an 'album,' or an EP is a mute point. Regardless, it's not necessarily 'quantity,' but 'quality,' that matters. And there's a bountiful quantity of quality on offer with this recording." 8/10

I’ve been a music journalist for more than 10 years. Over the years, many artists and managers have asked me what the best way to break into the European music market is.
Here are some things you can do:
Publish artist press releases, news, and tour dates to the CountryHome Forum on MySpace, http://groups.myspace.com/CountryHomeMagazine , CountryHome Forum is part of CountryHome, http://www.CountryHome.de , Germany's Premier Country Music Online Magazine. Everything you publish to the CountryHome Forum will be published in my weekly Newsletter which has over 80,000 readers.
Send me CDs and DVDs for review and set up an artist interview with me. All reviews and interviews will be submitted to the magazines I'm writing for. More information for which magazines I'm writing can be found at http://www.MySpace.com/ChristianLamitschka
Upload artist videos to http://www.MyVideo.de and http://www.ClipFish.de . Both websites are like http://www.YouTube.com and uploading videos is free. The websites are completely in German. If you don’t speak German and need assistance, I will help you open an account and upload a video for 25 Euro. Each additional video upload for the same artist name and at the same video website is 10 Euro.
If you have more questions about the European music market or about any of the information I send to you today, please contact me at Ch.Lamitschka@t-online.de too.
