    The Montelongos were born from the heart, mind and many years of 4-tracking of eponymous frontman Omar Montelongo. This Ottawa, Ontario quartet is driven by an indie-rock sensibility infused with the alliterative preoccupations of the sensitive soul: love, lust and loss. The resulting sound is a catchy balance of tastefully emotive lyrics over a contrasting ebb and flow of melodic chords and powerhouse crunches. Maybe you are the type who likes to gush and swoon over heart-on-your sleeve lyrics. Perhaps you are more inclined to bop your head and tap your toes along to catchy hooks and riffs. Possibly you are the kind who likes to hit the dance floor and get lost in a moment of musical bliss. Regardless of what call you answer, The Montelongos will dial your number.     Seeking Ottawa based indie bands to play 'Indie Attic' at the Cajun Attic!

    We are developing a showcase of up and coming Ottawa talent on a new pub night in the Market offering cheap beers, 1/2 price appetizers and YOUR BAND! 
    Presented by: Indie Buzz Werks and The Cajun Attic 
    Where: The Cajun Attic, 349 Dalhousie St (upstairs) 
    When: Wednesday Nights 
    What: To play a 30-45 min set. 

    Compensation: 
      -  Door =  PWYC, plus some food from the bar.
      -  Show is video taped and blogged to NXEW.ca
      -  You will e interviewed and featured the same night on CHUO's radio show "Do you hear what i hear"

    1) Please include a link to your MySpace or Facebook 
    2) Links must include at least 3 songs

    Feed the Homelesss 5.  The event was a huge success, thanks in large part to our Myspace friends helping to get the word out!

    A near record crowd enjoyed amazing sets by Jill Zmud, Huntley Slim, and Arms of the Girl . 

    There was a well attended fun after party with Legendary Zaphod's DJ's Kerri and Arun... Cody Doby Much of Music VJ
    Contest fame, did a brillant job as MC.

    Feed the Homeless 6 will be held Nov. 25th, 2010.

  • Benefit Concert

    Thanks again for adding Feed the Homeless 5 next week on Wed. Nov. 25th at Zaphod's starring Arms of the Girl.  ** Early Show 8PM*** 

    As long as 200 folks hear about it and decide to come, it will pay for a meal for 500 homeless on Xmas.

    Admission is just 5$, which pays for 3 homeless to eat dinner on Christmas.

    Plus it's always a lot of fun.. Good time, great cause!
