"The Moonlight were surprisingly great. If Dale can learn to tune his guitar then their "Ponys without the depression skids" sound should win over many. The last thing I'd expect a band with two guys from the Dirtys to sound like."-Ben Blackwell (Cass Records/The Dirtbombs)
"Keeping up with the theme of Michigan's finest cream, along comes the new band composed of Smashin' Transistors' Dale Merrill, and Nick and Joe from 90s Crypt scumlords, the Dirtys, elegantly called The Moonlight. Not really along the same lines as Dale's previous band, the Bad Deals, or even slightly comparable to the sound of the Dirtys, but more of a sloppy, down-tempo, countryish lo-fi vibe that incorporates awesome layered vocal effects that don't fall too far from the slurred and blurred delivery of the Black Lips or even Times New Viking. With only a few live shows under their belt, we can only hope the Moonlight hold it together and get the gumption to make a few out-of-state appearances in the near future. Great stuff that's obviously been festering in the Port Huron underworld for far too long"-Todd Killings-Novak (Victim Of Time/Horizontal Action)

It's 3:00 PM and I'm suffering in an office mentally agonizing over how shitty the drive up to Green Bay after work in freezing rain's gonna be w/ a Packer game tonight. Pray for me.
