"SOLUTION FOR DREAMERS: SEASON 2" compilation CD OUT NOW! Released by Oniric Records in support of HEAL THE OCEAN, this awesome CD featuring Pete's song "Treehouse" as the second song. It was launched with a festival at the Arlington Theatre in Santa Barbara, California on the 24th of February.

The festival was a resounding success and you can read, see and hear more about it by clicking on the Solutions for Dreamers Festival image below, and click the others too!:
proudly present an independant artist with an independant vision.
Pete Gare
A prolific songwriter, Pete delivers his music with undeniable conviction and passion. Honest and real, his style defines versatility. He first took to the stage with his guitar at the age of 14, and his music has evolved in tune with his life ever since on the college bar, small club and coffee house circuit, and at numerous festivals. Whether solo or with a band, Pete always gives his all to you with his music and performances.
Working the long hard hours and roads of music is nothing new to Pete, self-confessed as having the best job in the world. Upon finishing school he studied Jazz, then flew to North America and spent months living on the back roads of Blues, before returning to Australia with his songbook, and vision for recording his works.
After approximately 500 hours in the studio over four years recording his debut album, Chasing heaven catching hell, Pete was set to embark on a 4 month promotional tour around the world. A week before departing, he was brutally assaulted by a stranger, which left him on the very edge of death. Ten months of rehabilitation followed, in which he had to learn to play guitar all over again, and deal with permanently losing 80% of his hearing in one ear.
As soon as he was able, he got on a plane, picking up where fate had stalled his progress, and completed his world tour as planned nearly a year later. Over 100 shows upon the tour brought many new fans to his music, thousands of sales of his tour E.P, and resulted in him signing a promotional deal with a U.S.A record label affiliated with Jack Johnson.
Following his self-funded E.P, Album and World tour, touring across Australia twice since returning, and recording further works, Pete's now going back out there to do it all again, self-funded yet again.. and pushing the envelope, in the only way he knows how. His fan-base continues to grow with every show he plays, and lives continue to be touched by his music. This journey has no end.

still chugging away here in little ol' melbourne with recordings and gigs and things. Hope the music/tupperware parties have gone well :)
Let me know when yr back in town.
Okay the marina bar and grill thing didn't pan out. Turns out it's in a state park, and the state won't let them have live music. Chad's seemed promising, but didn't have openings during the dates I was guessing you'd be there. I'd say you still have a shot, depending how long you stay in SB. If you talk to Chad, mention that you're the guys his friend Cris mentioned.
Good news friends. I got in touch with my buddy in SB, and it looks like Chads has some open bookings left for the Summer. I forwarded links to both of your myspace pages, and the tour page, and am awaiting replies. Keep your toes crossed. I'll get with Frank about the marina bar and grill this weekend when I'm up at the lake.
Stay cool and kind,
Jim
