THE ENGAGEMENT was born around the turn of the century with the release of their debut, self-titled album, affectionately referred to as the Red album. Immediately after that release, THE ENGAGEMENT were invited to Los Angeles to showcase their new LP. It wasn't until Summer 2005 when the band released the album of anthems, "NOW AND FOREVER" at First Avenue in Minneapolis. In Fall 2006, THE ENGAGEMENT set forth on a year-long tour of shows throughout Minnesota in support of NOW AND FOREVER. THE ENGAGEMENT closed 2007 with their second benefit show "ROCK FOR TOTS" at Club Underground. Since the beginning, THE ENGAGEMENT has shared the stage with many friends; some here, some no longer. I just wanted to fill you in on the next couple of shows. Tomorrow Promaeta is playing in Rochester with Schizopathic. No cover and a guaranteed night of kick ass music. Then on Monday, July 28th we play at the Rock with The Story Changes which is a National Band. Hope to see you there!!
We've got a show coming up at "The Back Bar" in Janesville, WI (1901 Beloit Ave, Janesville, Wisconsin) on July, 25 2008 So if you'll be in the area we'd love to see you there...The cost is $5 and we're playing with Kicking K8! Its 21+ so bring your ID and be sure to have a beer with us!!

Turnout was indeed pretty good. I was kinda disappointed that more people from school didn't show, but it's understandable, seeing as we're all broke college kids. But you're welcome for being there - I had a great time, and I promised you that I would be there and I don't break promises! It was a little hard getting up this morning, but it was well worth it. But yeah, keep me,--and all of us--updated on shows for sure.
