   About The Ensomberoom

I am Geoff Montgomery - Engineer for Hire! I own and operate a recording studio of sorts out of my home here in the Midwest of the U.S.A.. I am in my 30's, but will always be 17 at heart. I am happily married to a very awesome understanding woman who puts up with (and actually pretty much enjoys) this crazy shit in our house! I've been doing this for about 11 years and have built-up a pretty solid collection of gear and clientele. I will be honest and work to the best of my abilities to provide you with a "professional" audio engineering service. I have many excellent tools at hand to create a wide range of sonic textures. Being a home studio and the sole owner/operator, each project that I take is able to be completely custom-catered and priced accordingly to provide you with the best price/service value. I have a very DIY approach to things and never adhere to any set rules or methods. Whatever it takes is what it takes. I realize there are many engineers and recording options these days, but know that you'll get a very personalized "touch" and close attention to your project with me - from beginning to end. I can also travel as most of my stuff is fairly portable and am very familiar with other systems, analog or digital. Book time at a great room, hire me to do all the tech-y work, and let you do what you do best, perform!

I also play/have played for several bands, such as Daisy Cutter, siktodeth, Hordes of the Lunar Eclipse, Lonewalker, Fog, Nokturnel, Formaldehyde Sleep, A.I.D.S., The Lurking Corpses, (and more). I am a dedicated music fan and musician, (mostly metal, covering the wide macrocosm of "extreme music" as we all know and love, i.e. thrash, death metal, black metal, power metal, progressive metal, doom, folk, sludge, speed, stoner, viking, symphonic, crust, power violence, crossover, classic shit, grindcore, hardcore, all 'dem "cores", (mostly old) punk, and most cross-breeds of any of those forms, whatever) but also enjoy, appreciate and have worked with nearly all forms of music. I have over a decade's worth of experience in recording and have a very dedicated and passionate attitude towards the craft. I feel I am incredibly fair on my rates, and try to provide a comfortable environment for bands and artists to create in.

-Active bands I play in currently: Daisy Cutter, Hordes of the Lunar Eclipse, and A.I.D.S.

-Daisy Cutter is a Power Violence/Grindcore group I'm in which features myself on Drums, Eric on Guitars, Nic on Bass, and Nathan on Voice.

-Hordes of the Lunar Eclipse features Tophetarath (myself) on Drums, Guitar, and vokills, Luathca Mulhocthdozar on Guitars, Bass, and Vokills, and Nacht on lead guitars and vokills. Our first album "Dancing Demons in the Greylit Glade" was released on Dark Horizon Records on CD and on vinyl by Serpens Caput Productions. New material is now being finished up for the 2nd full-lenth attack.

-A.I.D.S. is a one-man-band black-terror-crust metal project I do when I get free time and am less busy with everything else. I try to create something yearly. SYNDROME OF THE END APPROACHING 12inch vinyl released on Serpens Caput Records, CD version on Those Opposed. Copies available from me, just send a message! New tracks have also been done for a split 7inch with ??? coming out on ??? Records hopefully soon!! This will be (of course) the best, most ferocious material yet! Fans of crusty Black Metal should enjoy this one!

siktodeth just rules, and will hopefully be out soon... 2-Men, loud, harsh, mean, and fast.

Thanks for running the righteous sound last night, and spinning the righteous tunes as well. The D.C. set was amazing as well.

Oh yeah, that rules that the TDID stuff you recorded is going to be on that Relapse 7"! I was mighty excited to hear that. Plus The Gates Of Slumber being on that record too...fuck! Take care
