The Envelope is a collaboration of five members that hail from the city of Los Angeles, but their roots can be traced back to the state of Kansas where the lead singer Michelle and guitarist Mike grew up. Soon after they began writing together, they both moved to California to pursue their dreams of a music career. After previous bands fell through the two pressed on to write what is now their first EP, "Knowing The Cure." Matt, an old friend of theirs from high school, really liked the music and wanted to join the group. The three quickly began recording the EP at his studio, The Watermark Studio. While they were putting the final touches to the EP, the band was very lucky to have Coy join the band....and just recently the band FINALLY found the drummer they had been looking for, Paul. The band is now playing local shows and gearing up to do their first coastal tour. They also have plans to record with Mike Herrera, lead singer/bassist of MxPx, in the near future.

ah man... leave it to me to get home from work too late to watch Yuri record anything. It sure is exciting to watch the drum kit not move and listen to slightly random background noise.
