If you're a saint with the heart of a sinner, The Obvious has got your salvation right here. Damned, dirty, Foxcore Punk, the female fronted Rawk band is steadily collecting converts with it's frothing live show, a sight which burns with the energy of tent-revival healing. Our mash up of dark humor, social commentary, and the artful ripping off of the right 70's punk and 90's alternative influences is what's been missing from your life, so don't waste your energy on resisting! Instead, get on board, witness and testify. The band is currently rollicking through our mission of informing the next generation with a combination of a sharp and uniquely aware perspective and feverent worship at the altar of refined three chord punk. The Obvious is the original child of guitarist Dan Astorri and singer Surojanie Sugrim, natives of Howell, NJ. The two grew up in suburban New Jersey, cutting class together in order to get to their real education of writing songs. Bassist Joy Bellamy and drummer Matt Guzda joined the final incarnation of the band in 2007, rounding out the line up with both style and substance. Currently performing, writing and soon to be recording a sophmore album this summer, The Obvious is very busy kicking asses and taking names. Catch us rocking out with our respective cocks and frocks out this summer!!!!! XOXO!

Angie: "Well, you know if you sell too many records that makes you not punk rock."
Dan: "I guess we're the most punk rock of all then."

is about a memorable summer. To sum up what it was
really about; sunshine and concerts, a carefree lifestyle and far too
many illicit chemicals. The biggest selling album at the time was Dark
Side of the Moon by Pink Floyd and this song is a kind of pastiche of
that.
