After what seems an eternity without recorded material, theEspera has finally teamed up with Farm Recorders to produce an album aimed at capturing the energy and sound of their live performances. The 7-song album will be released at the beginning of October 2009 and the trio will perform extensively in support of it.
Fans of theEspera find themselves among an intimate and unique collection of music lovers. Those who enjoyed (and still do) the lush sounds of the 90's shoegaze swirl will find a soft place in their hearts for this S.A. native trio. A reverb-rich guitar draped in warm distortion soars intrepidly above a round, full stream of bass melodies, and beneath it all, a well-worn path marked by kick and snare past bubbling pools of ride and crash.
This low-key triad of dedicated musicians looks forward to its 4th year as an established band, and its 1st year as a solid lineup. The advent of their upcoming album promises more live shows both in San Antonio and beyond. For fans eager to have an Espera album, the wait is over...
