The Eubonics are as many as three MC's--Bishop (Dirk) and Necrotheque (Peter) from Sugar Land, Texas (the DC area) and UnLtD.TxT (Ari) from Brooklyn, NY. We operate with the support of beatmakers like Sly and the Street Beat from Manchester, CT. Mad Milliner from New Britian, CT. Montezuma from San Antonio, TX.
We're pro-feminist, mostly-middle class kids. We have a DIY mentality, but don't buy into the backpacker or hipster rap genres. We serve food not bombs and frequent food co-ops, but we're just as likely to be found in bodegas and barber shops. We listen to that grimy street shit--Wu Tang, Goodie Mob, D-Block, Joe Budden, Scarface, UGK, Z-RO. Our songs reflect it. We want to bridge gaps between youth cultures. We want punks and hipsters to put their motherfuckin' hands in the air.
ah, yes, that was the first of many - an inspiration. shortly thereafter sara & i sat with the same thesaurus at the very same great bar and came up with moniker "greenfield & bon: purveyors of fine dance theatre".
i need the accapella for "Home of the 45s" because i'm tickled when i hear "his royal slyness on the beat" and if i chop that i'm gonna make some dirty south soulful bangers and chop and screw that line.
