Toronto... Corner Brook... Newfoundland ...quite the communte... ha ha ha ... seriously REALY LOVE THIS !!! especially anywhere than here ... i miss the Hshoe..
That was a great set at The Horseshoe. This is music that spontaneously combusts with slabs of swirly guitars, epic sounding songs, and yearning vocals. Weaving through shoegazing, dream-pop, and grunge-led guile, this is a sound that marries the glistening, distortion-drenched riffs of Swervedriver with the grinding resolve of The Constantines, interspersed with an endless soul-search quality. The heart of panoramic noise and contemplative soundscapes never sounded so cool.
The Evelyn Room is a convergence of the past with the present, swirly trippy soundscapes, a countrified spirit, with a high-energy rock approach. Just like a bright star radiating beams of light, this is music that glows of optimism and introspection.
Congrats on the excellent review re your gig at The Horseshoe...your work totally deserves recognition and kudos, wishing you continued support! - cheers - Pauline/Sleeps Six
It was great playing the Dakota Tavern with you at NXNE! you guys were one of our favorite bands that we got to see. it sounded huge and dreamlike! all the best to you.
Wished I could've cloned myself a few times over last night, as we had a NXNE set an hour before yours, hope you had a great gig, and would love to figure out a show with you people at some point...cheers - Pauline/Sleeps Six
Love your songs, E.R..."Anywhere Than Here" has such a gorgeous, smokey vibe, and I like the vocals doubled an octave apart..."Chemical Brain" is stunning, too, heavy yet dreamlike. Will def be back for more listens, would share a gig with you anytime - thanks for add - cheers, Pauline/Sleeps Six
That was an amazing set at The Drake. Psychadelic, shoegaze, spacey, whatever you want to call it, The Evelyn Room is on the same level musically, if not better, than similar bands I've been seeing around the scene. Definitely a band worthy of more attention. Well done.
