THEE VERY is...
James van Leuven is a drummer and producer from Seattle, WA, USA. Leigh Gable is a bassist and dude from LaConner, WA, USA. They rock out together. THEE VERY is their latest and greatest thing. James has been recording and touring as Plan B (myspace.com/planbmusic) for a number of years. Leigh plays bass occasionally with Plan B. James is still busy producing soundtrack music for film and theatre. Before Plan B and Thee Very, James played in the noise rock band Automaton (www.myspace.com/automatonmusic) and the K records band The Sub Debs (www.myspace.com/thesubdebs)
Technically Thee Very are making live/electronic hybric music. Using a live drum set equipped with drum triggers along with looper, mpc, korg synth, bit crushing, delay, reverb, sample rate tweeking, pitched out vocals and bass guitar! We don't know what to call it, but there are strong influences from many genres. We hear Hip Hop, Afrobeat, Electric Boogie, Synth pop, Indie Rock, Ethiopian, Know Wave, Prog Rock, Noise, and Psychedelic elements. We prefer for you to tell us what we sound like.
