  • Bio

The Evil Dead make music to drink with the dead and toast with the living. Based in Buenos Aires (Argentina) The Evil Dead mixes thrash metal , heavy metal and old school rock 'n roll with a triple guitar attack and hellish vocals, making a unique style that they refer to as skeleton boogie, something between a music style and a life style. You don't get it until you finally listen to it and are completely hooked... Lyric wise The Evil Dead delve deep into mystery, horror, truth and fictional stories, tales of boozing and ghastly and ghostly subjects… words that come out as haunting hymns to be ingrained into one's consciousness while the three guitars trade lick after lick and solo after solo as the rhythm section grooves and pounds away furiously behind… Everything a good Metal and Rock 'n' Roll band should feature making their thunderous live apparitions a must see for any headbanger… By mid 2011, the band signed with Rising Records for the release of their first album "Pronounced(The Evil Dead)" to be distributed worldwide by Plastic Head Distribution On January 30th "…Be a part of this, at the greatest stage Of an electric evil revival…"

"Give this album a couple of spins and musically you discover the band can really play, sounding like a mix of early Sabbath, Maiden and Judas Priest. They have a triple guitar line up which they utilise to good effect with some excellent melodic riffing and fret burning solos. This is an album with a lot going for it Score: 8 out of 10" — Get Ready to Rock! "If some good old style rock 'n' roll blended with some thrash metal aggression and skilful classic rock guitar play is a flavour that has you licking your lips then make a swift line towards Argentinean metalers The Evil Dead and their new album Pronounced The Evil Dead. The release is a kick ass rumble of insatiable rock and harsh metallic power that will intrigue and fire up the urge to raise horns very high With songs about death, horror and drinking that emerges as a nonstop celebration with rampant riffs, irresistible grooves and straight forward aggressive intent it is hard not to be swept up in its surprising and often confusing flow but thorough great fun. The album for all that is great fun and truly worth a listen, it is of great quality and will leave riffs and melodies with you long after it departs they are that impressive. Try it and see." — Ringmaster Reviews "With a clear passion for their trade, The Evil Dead play heavy metal like it never went out of fashion The music follows an 80s style, but the vocals are like something off an Immortal album It would be easy to sound monumentally shit but it all comes together create a very enjoyable record. It's testament to the power of heavy metal that a band from as far afoot as South America can get signed to a label like Rising Records with their début and fit right in with the rest of the metal scene straight away don't expect The Evil Dead to just fuck off without a fight." — Martin Savage, Dead Press "a surprisingly melodic metal band who nod at Megadeth and Iron Maiden and can certainly carry a tune."
