After sending out several thousand specially customised audio messages in bottles, one washed up on the beach in Whitley Bay in the UK...two beach technicians found one of these bottles and managed to decipher the audio code, and after having made an initial contact with the Lost Island via the magic of semaphore and carrier pigeon, will hopefully be releasing some of these audio snippets on the mediums of vinyl, CD etc, in the not so distant future...keep checking back for updates and release dates...

The history of Dr B is a strange and mysterious tale, one that is only now being discovered. Over 6,000 years ago, Dr B was born on an Island, mythical and remote, which had for centuries, been called the Lost Island.
Not knowing his parents and reared by small bears in a small cave, Dr B spent his youth banging on any available surface, gradually evolving into more complex instruments made from skin, bone, twine and twigs. Through this, a love of music and its spiritual, therapeutic and communicative properties began to develop, and thus Dr B began his aural explorations that continue to this day.
A 15 track musical artifact, recorded in by Dr B in wax, first washed up on the beaches in Northumberland in late 2007, it was entitled simply: 'The Lost Island.' The album was a tribute to the land of his upbringing and the magical mix-tapes that he found on the islands beaches. The discovery of this rare and inspired recording led to offers of fame, money and stardom.
A smattering of spontaneous live appearances at various underground art happenings, chaotic semi-improvised live sets, videos on beaches and other miscellaneous audio-visual shenanigans followed, with Dr B's legend growing as he supported international acts such as Fat Harry’s Magical Mirth Circus, The Grow-Bags, Ugly Barry and Peanut Butter Wolf.
The 6 track musical artifact you can now hold in your hands could be considered as either a statement of musical intent or a longing for companionship, and is the result of a closely guarded musical process which is at times dangerous and experimental.
Other collaborations followed, which have helped Dr B to develop, evolve and refine his sounds into the eclectic mish mash of sounds you may hear on this disc. This work has only come to be heard by due to the extreme fortuitousness of him having sent out those primitive wax recordings long ago, and the strange, mystical, tidal occurrences that brought them to our ears and beaches. We hope you enjoy!
As well as being a fully qualified Lost Island Dr (him being a Professor of Leprechaunology), his parents made him the Guardian of the Fish Bucket, founder of the school for bear wrestling, and he is also the inventor of clowns.
