The quartet is based on an unfounded hypothosis that the "arts" of the lower strata can somehow enlighten the more evolved classes.
Jay Wylde studied extensively at the Hardknockes Musikal Academie (3 chord primitive progressions) and the mindset/sociology of "lower-class" social groupings or "tribes", thus making him the logical steward in the wholly new endevour entitled "Thee Wylde Ocsars".
His fraternal brother, Aaron Wylde, alternately achieved similiar studies in stringed instruments and arrived at the same conclusion as his sibbling, understanding the WORTH of this "primitive beat".
Adopted identical twin brothers Kato (bass/contra cello/karate master) & Marty (Manipulator of the dark art of beat & drumstick-twirling grand champion (02-07)) joined suit; thus giving propulsive momentum to this otherwise forgotten manifestation of a thing once known as "Rock and Roll".

Joining them on the night is Mirrorhouse Antics whos live show is a cross between the Arctic Monkeys and The Stooges. They have just released their debut album, recorded at Bakehouse by Mikey from Eddie Current Suppression Ring. Dan Webb's 60's styled Hammond infused insanity is gonna be something to look out for as well as the 'Wise Flys' : they'll make you laugh they'll make you cry, they'll make you laugh about crying. And don't forget to look out for the crazy clown pinyada filled with burning flesh and give away fun toys for the kids. This is a B.Y.O "leotard friendly event ". So pour yourself into your favorite and come on down !!!
THE RUBYS FIRST BIRTHDAY EXTRAVAGANZA - 3 MORE SLEEPS
One year ago, on a lonely Wednesday evening at a forgettable Collingwood pub, The Rubys played their first gig. Twelve months on, the three scrappy-looking lads have under their belts better songs, more gigs and are infecting Melbourne audiences with catchy, raw, stomp rock n roll pretty much weekly. So to mark the milestone of reaching the ripe old age of one, The Rubys are celebrating with a birthday party! With around 40 gigs down over the previous year and a wildly raucous live set, there has been a lot of jumping around and beer consumed so this Friday at the Old Bar will be no exception. Expect some wild blues-driven sets by The Volatiles and The Bellows to warm things up, and the boy’s favourite two-piece The Cheats bringing it all home. 8:30 start, $8, Party hats provided.
