Eric Zarycki can easily be summed up as a singer-songwriter. Although he despises the moniker it is the accepted sum to the eternal equation of what he does. The music is an eclectic blend of roots Americana with a rock-and-roll blemish you’d never cover up. Influences range from Canadian psych pop of the Super Friendz and Local Rabbits to American indie greats Pavement and Guided by Voices to Americana icons Wilco, Ryan Adams, Gram Parsons, and Neil Young. His band, the Persuasion, is Jason Robinson (lead guitar), Steve Daly, (pedal steel), and includes All We Seabees members David Swartout (bass), Katie Gifford (harmony vocals) and Justin Fox (drums/percussion). The band is currently at work on a new record to be released late fall 2008.
