The albums were launched at the Wintersun Nostalgia Festival in Tweed Heads. In May 2010 Ezra traveled to Barcelona, Spain to perform a set at the 12th Screamin' Rockabilly Festival, supporting Sleepy LaBeef and Bill Haley's Original Comets. Bio:
Ezra Lee is the hot new piano sensation from N.S.W, Australia. At 23 years of age this talented young musician can be heard playing a variety of styles, from Piano Rock 'n' Roll and Country, through to Blues and Jumpin' R&B. Ezra recorded his first full - length album of original rockin' toons in Autumn 2009 at Graham Thomas's Preston Studios in Pasco Vale in Melbourne and was launched at The Wintersun Nostalgia Festival . Before that he recorded five songs as part of the Out Of The Valley compolation with Pat Capocci and Danny & The Cosmic Tremors. Ezra also worked as a session piano player for Flash Sheedy's Angelwood Studios in Currabubula when in high school and played on an album by The Re-Mains and recently pounded the ivorys on Neil Murry's album Witness. Ezra was the piano player for legendary pub blues band Johnny Green's Blues Cowboys playing at The East Coast Blues & Roots Festival and The Tamworth Country Music Festival with Grunter the barefoot fisherman and the rest of the gang. Ezra has now been performing under his own name for a year and has played at The 15th Annual Screamin' Festival in Barcelona, Spain, in May, supporting The Original Comets and Sleepy La Beef and has since been signed up to be part of part of the broadway show The Ultimate Rock 'n' Roll Jam Session with James Blundell, Nick Barker ( The Reptiles ), Dave Larkin ( Dallas Crain ) and The Sun Studio Trio ( Steve Hadley - bass, Shannon Bourne-guitar and Dave Folley on drums ). The regional shows have been a huge success and it will be touring nationally with a two-week residency at Brisbane's Twelth Night Theatre ( 14th - 28th November ) and The Sydney Opera House ( 7th - 19th February ). The show is a live gig setting with and a personal touch, no costumes or impersonations with corny lines, just great tunes sung by four great artists. Some songs include Brown Eyed Handsom Man, Hound Dog, Long Tall Sally, Rock 'n' Roll Piano Man and Great Balls Of Fire. The story goes that on Dec 4th 1956 Elvis Presley was cruising in his Cadillac and pulled in to Sun Studios in Memphis and joined by Johnny Cash and Jerry Lee Lewis proceeded to take over Carl Perkins' recording session and the result was put on tape by Sam Phillips and called The Million Dollar Quartet and next year Ezra will be performing at The Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly Weekendin April, 2011, which also stars The Killer, Jerry Lee Lewis.Member Since:
