Influences
The Beatles and everything else British Invasion. Even American bands who tried to sound British.
From February 9, 2001 to October 17, 2009 - The Fab Five was among the elite Beatles/British Invasion tribute bands in the world. They were featured as such on CBS SUNDAY MORNING in Sept 2007, and in headlined the two biggest Beatles-music festivals in the world - ABBEY ROAD ON THE RIVER in Louisville, KY (2007) and INTERNATIONAL BEATLE WEEK in Liverpool, England...Birthplace of The Beatles. (2006)
Over a dozen times, they were an opening AND backing band for British rock legends - JOEY MOLLAND of BADFINGER and TERRY SYLVESTER of THE HOLLIES. The video below is from our show backing Joey at The Taste of Rochester 2007, with "Come Down Hard" from the 1981 LP - Say No More. They also backed Joey up at The Cavern Club in Liverpool, UK -twice!- in August of 2006! And The SPENCER DAVIS GROUP opened for THEM! The Fab Five also enjoyed a great relationship with original BEATLES drummer - PETE BEST, sharing the stage with Pete's band 15 times in three years.
