The Fabulous Tonemasters
Blues Rock at its Best!!
Today’s popular music would be a lot different if weren’t for the blues and jazz greats of years gone by! Now meet The Fabulous Tonemasters, a band of seasoned musicians who still pay tribute to their roots, and will make you sit up and take notice. Never to give an audience a chance to get bored, they play just about everything from ZZ Top, The Temptations, Al Green, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Hendrix, the Beatles…you name it! Something for just about everyone!
And it..s not just about the music alone. If the band doesn..t look like they are having fun, then they..re probably not!
Gerry Archer- Guitar and Vocals
From Motown, to Chicago style electric blues, to his most important influence, Jimi Hendrix, Gerry has the passion and drive to make you listen, with both interest and anticipation of what he is going to do next. One of those few musicians that will let his guitar speak for him, and when it comes time to move you, not too many will do as good a job as this guy! It’s clear he loves his craft!! He is well aware that the spaces, like the breathing of a singer, is just as important as the notes played. This band leader will not forsake the groove for showboating.
Gerry has been playing since the age of thirteen, and does not show any sign of slowing down, always looking for that perfect ..tone.. to suit the tune, mood or those pieces of gear that will help him achieve the sound in his head.
Fronting the band wasn’t what he wanted, nor did it start out that way. “ I just wanted to be a guitar player. But the singers all kind of disappeared one by one, and I was the only one left that knew the words!”
