The Faerywatcher's Interests
|
| General | ~Welcome to Faerywatcher's (that's me!) Natureworks! Inspired by Mother Nature and all her magical offerings, creations of fairy scenes were born. Enchanted rooms where any passing fairy can stop for a visit, rest her wings, or just observe our world. There are many different themed scenes to choose from...........woodland, beach, and seasonal are just name a few. Most serve as a table top display, however, I do have wall hangings and night lights as well.
~Now, step inside a little further and see what else has been created and hear the story of THE CAPTURED FAIRY WINGS.....
It has been told that the fairy, or wee-folk as they like
to be called, shed their wings only once in a lifetime.
This is done under a moon lit night inside a magic
circle~a fairy ring~a celebration for all wee-folk to
attend. Dancing, singing, and feasting is just some
of the wonderful things that happen at this ritual.
Though, no human has ever seen this (it is forbidden),
I have been lucky enough to have come across in my
own garden where this has taken place. I have collected
these wings that were shed during this magical time.
In return, I have behind some of my own trinkets
for them to use in their own way.
Wear one of these enchanted necklaces and your fae will forever follow your heart!
~One day at a craft fair, I came across a "Fairy Queen" who took me under her wing and taught me that there is a whole world of whimsey just waiting to be created if I would just let my mind go. She introduced me to polymer clay and all the wonderful things that it would do. Given the fact that I have an unlimited source of small glass vials, I started bottling fairy magic (at their approval of course!) and making my own stoppers and corks with the clay. Some of the things bottled have been gathered after a fairy ritual in my garden such as stones, dust, and wings. The potions and tonics are recipes that were secretly given to me by pixies with a promise from me that they will be sold but never revealed.
~New to the shop is Best Friends Forever necklaces. Although these do not have much to do with fairies, I was instructed by a little being that these would make wonderful treasures for the best of the best of friends!
~Because my heart not only lies with fairies but cats as well, I have added a section in my shop of Victorian cat necklaces and other items. The proceeds from any sale in this section will go back into our non-profit cat rescue.....CLAWS....Cat Lovers Alliance for Welfare and Sterilization! If you would like more info on our rescue group, please check my profile as I have listed it there also! =^..^=
***Nothing is EVER harmed in the making of my art!***

Our Mission: To promote spay/neuter, provide assistance and education to pet owners to prevent unwanted litters of cats, to rescue and re-home abandoned cats and kittens, practice TNR (trap, neuter, return) as the humane solution to feral cats, and to work closely with other groups in attaining these shared goals.
We have a small country sanctuary providing a safe place for cats who could not be returned to the trapping site or cats with "issues" and special needs. We have a limited capacity and have to turn away many that are in need. Few groups can take on cats that they cannot move out quickly to make room for more but we do the best we can for the ones with no other options that would allow it to live. We feel that their need is far greater than the perfect, well behaved felines who can be found a homes as pets. The ones who refuse to be socialized, bite, have health issues or bad litter box habits are the cats we prefer to work with. Challenges keep us on our toes for sure.
You can read about some of our favorite residents here at our "Brier Wood Farm" in the Animals Section.
Please check our webstie which is still underconstruction
