“Intense lyrics and worthy aims, but also a singer-songwriter you could relax to in the small hours, soothed by the mellow vocal tones and letting the smooth guitar riffs roll over you.” The Courant. “A fully fledged have-guitar-will-travel journeyman. Songs of faith and justice ring out…” Cross Rhythms. www.headingwestmusic.com
Rob
Rob combines edgy acoustic rock with soulful ballads that will both challenge you and bring you hope: “ an amazingly natural performer…brutally honest with a rough spirituality that has been tested and found true. Somehow this only adds to the power of his songs” Mike Rimmer – Cross Rhythms www.robhalligan.co.uk

 About The Fair Trade Tour

So why fairtrade?

It's a way of ensuring that marginalised producers get a fair price for their produce. When you buy products with the Fairtrade logo you can be sure that the profit from that sale will benifit the comunities that produced it.
More than that Fair Trade organisations work with marginalised producers and workers helping them move from a position of vulnerability to security and economic self-sufficiency.

and the tour...?
Since 2005 singer/songwriters Gareth Davies-Jones & Rob Halligan have toured the UK raising awareness of Fair Trade. The shows, promoted by local Fair Trade and church groups and supported by Traidcraft, are often run alongside a Fair Trade cafe. Apart from the message in the music there's supporting literature and Fair Trade crafts and snacks available as well.
We'll be performing together again in a series of concerts in the Autumn of 2007 and it would be great if you could be there and be a part of the tour.

I wish you a great weekend ahead!

Remember: “There is little difference in people, but that little difference makes a big difference. The little difference is attitude. The big difference is whether it is positive or negative.”

Looking back on 2007 I would like to say:

thank you to:

musicians who made music that delighted my ears

songwriters that wrote lyrics I enjoyed singing along to

artists who created work that pleased my eyes

promoters who organised gigs & events where I enjoyed myself

those with the gift of humour who made me laugh

anyone who hugged me

people that unknown to me prayed for me

colleagues who put up with me

strangers I met who became friends

a great & loving God who daily forgives me & even delights in me

YOU reading this for being my friend

Have a wonderful Christmas & a Happy 2008

Go on, check us out! Let us know what you think. Be our friend. Show your love. Oh, and order something - that would be great.
