.. There is too much talk about a life of ease. Smooth sailing does not make robust sailors. It is all right to improve means and methods, but to eliminate all effort and struggle is not beneficial. Many people have their troubles and worries because they expect life to be too easy. Take struggles out and out goes challenge and in comes boredom.
.. The unhappiest people in all the world are those on easy street. Most of us don't need lighter weights, just stronger backs. So let us pray and exercise to obtain strength equal to our tasks.

T. NATHAN, WORRYING Never, Ever, changes anything except our body metabolism; it causes heartburn, ulcers, and a myriad of other "Health Issues", so, in the end...we DO NOT enhance our life. Having FAITH in God does NOT mean that we (as Believers), will NOT go through "Changes", having FAITH in God gives us the CONFIDENCE to Know & Believe that God is "Still" in Control, and that He is "Behind the Scenes" working "THINGS" out on our behalf, Amen?! It is written that "All things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose". (Rom.8:38)
Over 3/4 of the "ISSUES" that we face in life (especially in these "Last Days") take up way too much of our time that we "COULD" be using MEDITATING on the "Over 5000 Promises" found in the Word of God. WORRY ultimately is based in FEAR, and FEAR is of the Devil.
The Bible says "Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God. And God's peace [shall be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends all understanding shall garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus". (Phil.4:6,7 AMP.) Hmmmm??!?

God could have ordained that we eat nothing but mud. Mud for breakfast, mud for lunch, mud for supper. He could have made everything gray. But he didn’t do that. He created a whole world for us and he painted it in Technicolor. He said, “Here, eat and drink and be made strong. Everything I made, I put here for you.” The whole world is yours to enjoy. Lying on the field looking up at the fleecy clouds. Letting the juice dribble down your cheeks when you’re eating a luscious peach. Losing your breath when you jump into an ice-cold stream. I crashed my car head on into a brick wall drunk out of my mind at 55 MPH & my best friend was killed. My dad died on November 29, 1982, while I was away at college in Kansas on a running scholarship. I started drinking to cope with the loss of my dad! Coach Fisher kicked me off the track team for drinking too many beers, and getting out of control. I was close to hitting bottom and I didnt even realize it. This is what the Bible has to say about living a sinful life: Galatians 6:7,8: "Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit will reap eternal life." In March of 1984 I was partying with some friends in the parking lot of the United Artist's Cinemas in Santa Ana, California where I worked. At the end of the evening I was driving home drunk out of my mind, and a friend of mine named Brett Southard was a passenger in the car. I lost control of the car and crashed into a brick wall. I lived but my friend Brett died. This was a wake up call to me! Jesus Christ pulled me out of a pit and has blessed me in so many ways! I no longer drink! My sins are forgiven and I have eternal life through Jesus Christ! I currently fellowship at Calvary Chapel of Costa Mesa, California. Our pastor is Chuck Smith. Heavenly Father, be with us as we set out on our day today and remind us that there are just something we had to take a stand on and sometimes that can be a lonesome road, but we have to be set apart. Our afflictions soften our hearts so that when we have received the comfort of God, it is easy for us to pass it along to someone else. Oh, how we need this in the church of Jesus Christ. It is so easy to be callous. It is so convenient to be unkind. It is so easy to look down our noses at weaker brothers and sisters who go through hard times. We say so carelessly, “Why don’t they just get tough? Why don’t they show some backbone? Why don’t they quit complaining and get on with life? Why can’t they be strong like the rest of us?” God lets us go through hard times to break us of that attitude and soften us so that we are able to minister in the name of Jesus Christ to other hurting people.Brigitte ♥
