thefancydressparty are a mixed bunch, hailing from South Woodham Ferrers, Essex, and playing melo-dramatic folk songs, about rural england, adventures and escape.
The band consists of 7 members, in what seems to be an ever-expanding project.
They also like their name to be written completely joint-up in lower case. This rarely happens, but when it does it makes them very happy.

We are proud to announce that BLACK ARROWS, Southend's TRUEST metal night, will gloriously return to Southend on Saturday 24th October at the Railway Hotel - our finest venue yet!
Another wonderful show, from a wonderful band. A genuinely rousing rendition of 'The Ugly House'! We had to catch a ride just before the end, which was upsetting. Nonetheless, the majority I saw was pure magic yet again! I truly wish you people the best of luck on your way. Chris xx
