"Last night I took some over-the-counter sleeping pills and I was listening to your songs and they were like lullabies. How cheesy. Anyway, as soon as you put out a cd I'm buyin' a copy. Yes I am." - Erick Safety Willemse
New EP Something Could Be On Its Way available on:
The Fast Sails are the beloved brainchild of singer/novelist Simone Snaith. Snaith started out in a post-hardcore group called Wallace, touring and recording with them from 2001-2005, and then performed as an acoustic duo with pop/rock singer/guitarist Stephanie Jacobson (Ingenue). She has lately been performing as an acoustic trio (she's now eager to ditch 'acoustic'), and writing a two-part series about vampires. Her current musical obsessions are Bat for Lashes, St. Vincent and Wolf Parade.
Snaith recorded a 5-song EP as The Fast Sails in 2007 on Never Never Records, produced by The Flying Tourbillon's Hunter Curra, and is currently working on a new one with Mike Rodriguez (Como Osos, MANBRANCH). The first EP, "Something Could Be On Its Way", has been heard on Killradio, KALX, WGMU, and a few other scattered stations, as well as blogged about once or twice. As far as she knows.

Here's a quote I saw today that made me think about the priorities in life;
"Imagine life as a game in which you are juggling five balls in the air. You name them - work, family, health, friends, and spirit - and you're keeping all of these in the air. You will soon understand that work is a rubber ball. If you drop it, it will bounce back. But the other four balls - family, health, friends, and spirit are made of glass. If you drop one of these, they will be irrevocably scuffed, marked, nicked, damaged, or even shattered...You must understand that and strive for balance in your life."~Brian Dyson
I hope that you have been able to keep things balanced, I am trying harder to! ROCK ON! Karen :)
