The music of the Fawns is lovingly crafted from elegant simplicity; the songs of Lesa Bezo sometimes settle into a musical armchair we'll call "twanglepop", with an essence of a gentle 1950s country-rock amble married to sweetly poignant and honest ruminations on romance. But more often than not , these days, it's power poptastic hooks that the Fawns deliver.
Aromas of shimmering reverbed guitars, spunky new wave flavors and boy/girl
pop-bounce all blend into the mix.
Members of The Fawns have collaborated with and/or recorded with such luminaries as Mark Mulcahy (Miracle Legion), Chris Collingwood (Fountains of Wayne), Lloyd Cole, Joe Pernice (Scud Mountains Boys, The Pernice Brothers) and Pedro the Lion.
Members of The Fawns have shared the stage with: Juliana Hatfield, Evan Dando, Robyn Hitchcock, Freedy Johnston, Fountains of Wayne, Essex Green, Mates of State, Martin Sexton, Ivy, Of Montreal, and J. Mascis among others.

TWO NIGHTS OF MUSIC TO BENEFIT ACCESO
ACCESO is a nonprofit organization which provides humanitarian outreach to the people of Cuba who are struggling to obtain essential human goods and works to build relationships between Americans and Cubans. Since 2001 they have delivered over 12,000 books to libraries and donated over $100,000 in medical supplies all through the work of committed volunteers.
We here at HELPER have heard that it's awful hard to get to get guitar strings in Cuba. We've also noticed that i t's pretty easy to get them around here. We did the math.
DOWNTOWN SOUNDS has graciously offered a reduced rate
on all guitar strings bought by
HELPER for this purpose.
