Michelle and Josh played in a band called Virginia Reel. Josh moved to Portland with their drummer who was recently eaten by a dinosaur. So, Josh moved back to St. Louis. Michelle has been and still is playing with The Flyboats. Michelle and Josh decided to persue Virginia Reel again so Mic volunteered to fill in on drums for a bit.
Mic prefers to play in no less than 3 bands at any given time so when he heard they were looking for a drummer he lept at the opportunity. Previously he was playing with The Floating City, The Ten Thousand and Dancing Feet March to War simultaneously. As those bands chilled out or disbanded so to speak Mic moved to Chicago. After a brief stint with the CJ Boyd Sexxxtet, Mic was back in St. Louis and ready to rock. Since he's a drummer whore, he didn't think twice about adding The Fear Alert to the list of bands he was officially involved in: The Ten Thousand, Jason and The Beast and two other projects yet to be named. The trio of Josh, Michelle, and Mic formed the skeleton of what was to become The Fear Alert.
After only a few practices as a three-peice, Todd Anderson (When Discovering Flight) joined the band, filling out the mix with some very tactful and interesting quitar work. You might remember Todd from such bands as The Ten Thousand and City-A.
Dan (Cocktease) McKenzie, joined the band at the same time. You might remember him from such bans as Surkranikhan and The Floating City. Dan has also recorded and performed solo music under the moniker, Cocktease McKenzie. He is currently involved in the Jason and The Best recording project as well as several mad art projects.
We're all a little nuts!
After just three shows, we've shared bills with such illustrious performers as: Superfun Yeah Yeah Rocketship!, The Paper Chase, Boy Bathing, and Belle Fae.

We do exist. I think I'm going to buy a better soundcard so I can record us through my computer. I've been researching it and...it looks like the way to go as far as what I'm going to spend and getting a good recording seeing as I already have a mixer, fast computer & microphones. If we put anything new up I'll keep you posted. :P
