The Fellini Outtakes was formed when goth industrial Seattle band Vassily ceased in the mid 90s. The songs were written in a space above where the downtown horse and buggies staged their headquarters on the edge of Pioneer Square. Going to practice involved brushing shoulders with horses. The stairway was near to its demise and we had to gently move rats and their spouses to other chairs while we practiced. The Fellini Outtakes played in and around Seattle in various clubs and outdoor events, often experimenting with improvisation - several songs had a general structure in which we free-styled for a while before returning to the main architecture of the song. The song Lobelia was written by drummer Eveline of UnFolkUs fame. Bassist Kevin Goldsmith is the owner of Unit Circle Rekkids; David Fulwiler was in Seattle's Long Faces.
