Every 500 years, the Diva Plavalaguna sings to an elite audience - those who will pay exorbitant prices to hear her sing for only a few brief minutes. This event is regarded as the ultimate extravagance, while the Diva secretly serves a higher purpose; she is the guardian of the leeloominaï, without which the Fifth Element would not be able to work.
Little is known about the Diva; she is shrouded in mystery, and her fond attachment to the Supreme Being and both of their roles in the course of man's history will forever remain an exclusive relationship.
A note on the music; the remixes are credited to the Shooshoo's. Each begins the same but has minute twists and turns and some overall differences. For instance, my favorite is the Astrobus Mix, which is the longest of the mixes and plays on part of the dance in a haunting way.
The 4th track, "Diva Aria Coda" is the music from which "The Diva Dance" was mixed for the original song, by Eric Serra.
