Well we guess it's time we posted some sort of bio. So here's a start:
Dan and James grew up in the Seattle area. Both have played in local punk bands, Dan in The Crills and James in HANG. Both have played in other projects as well, Dan in some other band(s) that I can't remember the name of and James in another project that he doesn't even want to talk about. Dustin grew up in Ohio and has played drums for years. He moved out here about a year and a half ago and started a band with a childhood friend who had also moved out here. After a year of jamming two of the members went back to school full time, and he met Dan at the rehearsal space they both used to jam at and decided to try to start a new project. Dan found James thorugh a CL ad and they realized they'd talked before, and decided to jam.
Things went well so the three of us rocked it for a few weeks and decided to make it happen. The Filibusters were born. The jamming started in October, we self-recorded a demo in February, and played our first show in May. After a busy summer full of shows we'll be taking a break for some travelling and then plan to head in to the studio this fall/winter to record a full length.
