It's funny sometimes how much life can change when all you do is say to yourself "My life needs to change".
The First Among The Fallen are the perfect example of that. Tired of the endless cycle of life that came their way, Mark (guitar) and Mike (vocals) decided one day, near the end of 2006, to start a band and do anything and everything to make sure that what they were doing made them proud.
After a few lineup changes and a couple of slow times, the band was then introduced to a young, talented bassist named Bug. Bug arrived to the band with the same powerful drive and determination as two that preceded him. Not long after that, after a few more lineup changes, the threesome finally completed their party with the inclusion of their drummer Adam at the end of 2007.
The four of them became instant friends and quickly continued writing new songs with much, much chemistry. Thanks to the efforts of the band, they arrived at SoundCore studios in Glen Helen, CA on February 16th. With help from their new producer Cory Lange, TFATF recorded several of their songs for the enjoyment of music fans everywhere.
Not long after that, word spread quickly about this new and young band and caught the eye of some interesting people! 'M Productions', one of the production companies responsible for booking people at the world famous Whisky a Go Go, came across TFATF's demo's on their MySpace and asked them a question that they never would have thought was coming...they asked them to come play at the world famous Whisky a Go Go!!! Much to the band's disbelief, they played their very first show, opening for the So Cal band Droid on March 21st, 2008 at that great establishment. Another couple of shows went by and they were asked to play, once again, at their new favorite venue. What a way to explode onto the music scene!!
So Cal music fans should definately check out their live show. Trust me, you won't be disappointed...
Thanks for listening...

It's been a great run Mark...good luck with your new band and your new music. We've already been auditioning guitarists behind your back and we already have a replacement on standby. Fans of the early days of TFATF (and The Modern Hymn) will know him to be Eric. Anyway, the four of us hope that next April 1st, you'll love to come back and play with us.
Hey guys. I'm going about this the sissy way because I can't do it face to face. I'm leaving the band. I've been practicing with some musicians in Banning and after much thought ... I've decided to quit. It won't be hard to find a replacement. All he'll really need is a Boss GT-8 Effects Processor. I've already e-mailed all the guitar tabs to Mike. Much love, Much Respect------> Mark (your former guitarist)
