The band leader Jeff 'Spaceman' Russell was born in Allegan, MI and raised all over the US. He was influenced by the music of the many places he lived growing up (particularly the south). Jeff heard Aerosmith at the age of 5 and wanted to play the guitar ever since. He started his first punk band in 1988 called Crippled Children Inc. with Greg 'The Kid' Cone, Sean Spits and Courtney Heckman. They all went on to play in other bands. Jeff's next adventure was playing guitar for The Quitters which later became The Spits. Next came Blind and the Naked, Jeff's rock band, which currently is on hold. Jeff and Greg Cone regrouped in the late 90's and started T-Bag a punk band that caused much controversy in Kalamazoo and Grand Rapids. Jeff met Heather 'Hester' Ebbers in 2003. Heather grew-up in Hickory Corners, MI. She was raised on Classical music and influenced by her long time friends the James family. They played folk music and listened to classic country. She toyed with the guitar for years until one day Jeff asked her to accompany him on bass guitar. She liked playing the bass but wanted something a little more unusual and exciting. A few weeks later she purchased a double bass and has never looked back. They starting writing and playing bluegrass and rockabilly together in 2006. The summer of 2007 they met Brett 'No Sweat Brett' Vandenbosch after a Kalamazoo Kamikaze roller derby match. Brett is a Alpena transplant who currently lives in Kalamazoo. He started playing the drums about 10 years a go, but over the last year he has become more serious about playing in a band. He has always enjoyed rockabilly but is quite diverse in is musical tastes. Along with playing drums he is also a talented illustrator and designed the band's logo.
