This is where I come to philosophize . .. ..

If you are a nay-sayer about The Fleiss, then let me tell you how things went so terribly wrong. But we will never go away like The Major Labels wanted us to. Music lives in the heart. The voices in my head tell me so. .. ..

Before we begin you must understand a little about bipolar disorder and the unholy effects it can have on the mind. The mixed state, the depression, the mania & the delusion. Yes, I hallucinate sometimes, but the Risperdal, Kaiser Permante & what must only be God saves the day.

 I cannot say with certainty that the story behind the band is true. My memory is clouded with mad late nights in O.C & L.A, combined with disconjunction fogggy memories of bizarro. But those who later told me that they too had witnessed the incident lead me to concur that there may be a hint of  truth behind the story. For it is well known that it was at the infamous Cat Club in West Hollywood, where actress Renee Zweigler halted the suggestive innuendos of Madam Heidi Fleiss by throwing a Malibu Rum & Mountain Dew drink into her face. .. ..

The first demo song soon followed, “A Whore Called Renee”. It was recorded in Pete’s living room on a Cakewalk computer.

The music of The Fleiss has been described as “a bounce of joy, that lays in life time’s cascade”,  It is surreal, perhaps like being drunk on Guiness in an elevator while you share a laugh & giggle at the Playboy symbol some indie hipster revloned on the warning signs posted by the HSS. The smooth sounds of the three chord Carvin guitars curtain well with the mash up of Glenn Naughty's Kiwi vocals, D.J Queer Pete’s so NYC bass rift & Miltons in rhythm beat. Caught up in the Anaheim music scene, an indie single was eminent. The result was “I’ve Disappeared” another well produced recording of great indie quality. A powerful song that creates ruffles in your stomach every time you hear it. The song demonstrates evidence of fine art poetry & a craftmans style of  lyric that depict humor to cope in & out of despair. The haunting harpers & Carvin guitars demonstrate the timeless art of real indie pop. It is something that you would be proud to own. “I’ve Disappeared” was produced in both CD format & 7” clear vinyl. “When Mars Attacks” & “A Whore Called Renee” where the songs chosen for the B side. The popular artwork on the CD insert titled "See how she plots against us" was painted by talented artist Annie Garcia. .. ..

What happens when symptoms of mania & depression occur simultaneously? This is what psychologists call “mixed state” and philosophers call ”acting impious”. The fact is that it is dangerous to ones life. Only Jesus knows.

It was a rare rainy day in Southern California and I was driving to the Virgin Mega store to offer some copies of the The Fleiss 7” record. (Virgin Megastores still carry vinyl) On the way back I planned to stop by Borders and Barnes & Nobles to write up a few orders for the CD’s.  I figured I had time to stop by Rhino & Fingerprints too. Suddenly I was overcome by a mania so severe that it is difficult to describe in words. Needless to say, I did not make it to any of those stores that day, nor did I make it back to Anaheim... ..

Delusions of grandeur & rapid thought took over, like being sent back & forth in a time machine over & over again, unruly incident after unruly incident eventually led me to the Mayo Clinic with a ChiPs escort. Trombones & cowbells playing havoc in my head, they held me against my will. "Can't we all get along!!" I cried. The doctors & coppers said it was for my own good. I was later transferred back to Kaiser Permante, luckily I was well insured. I must have been in good care for what seemed like months, it was misery unfolded though & I am thankful for my good friends & family. I  believe it is a good thing that I do not remember much about the incidents leading up to the sedation. A nice steamy cup of Celestial green tea on my Spinal Pedic helps to calm my nerves... ..

My plan is to fly Southwest Airlines on a nation wide sale so I need to book now. Starting at The Anaheim House of Blues California and then moving on to: San Francisco, Portland, Everett, WA, Reno, NV, Salt Lake City, UT, Dallas, NYC, Chicago, Atlanta, Austin, Boston, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Canada, The U.K, Russia, Belgium Family, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Pakistan, Australia & some other far countries. Grandeur? Me thinks not. 

Well here I am in 2008. I did record another demo in 2006 called “A Wall Street Toy”, an unrelenting attack on Newscorp. I believe that the powerful lyrics of this song may have influenced Rupert Murdoch's decision to buy Dow Jones & The Wall Street Journal. I was a little disappointed when Fox Business News didn't name drop "The Fleiss" in their coverage. 

I am currently working on a new song called  “My name is Stephen J Procter Jr” (Trillionarie). I expect the full length album will be on iTunes , Vinyl, Compact Disc, DVD & Invention...

On the downside I missed The Simpsons episode with The Sex Pistols on it. I can't remember if I read it on Jack's Shack or punk rock demo board, but that they might rerun it if you request it enough. te he he .. ..

If you are reading this then the  chances are you are with it & hip to the scene. I apologize to everyone that I let you down with the release but as you can see the circumstances where beyond my complete control. In the meantime if you do support indie music pick up a copy of the The Fleiss CD from your local music retail shop. It is a fun record that you could make a college radio hit. It is also cool to share a laugh with your friends & another great advantage is that it's only a few bucks. J .. ..
