Influences include the best of British and American Indie/alt rock/pop. From the Rolling Stones to the Stone Roses. A real love for memorable songs with good hooks. Many influences could be included here but the real list is way to long. Oh well here we go...The Who, The Stones, The Kinks, The Charlatans, The Dandy Warholes, Sebadoh, Pavement,The Beatles,The Doves, Blur, Pink Floyd, Jimmie Hendrix, The Jam,The Cure, Robyn Hitchcock, The Ramones, The Jefferson Airplane, The Byrds, Bob Dylan, The Doors,
Guided By Voices, Steriolab, Lush,The Zombies, Catherine Wheel, Verve, Sonic Youth, XTC, The Lilys, Apples in Stereo, Jonathan Richman,The Velvet Underground, The Hives and hundereds of others some of the more recent are more inspiring than influences.
Sounds Like
Indie Rock with rich harmonies and catchy guitar. Song oriented with a variety of music in both tempo and temperament.

The Fletchers debut CD features 12 songs by singer-songwriter Gary Kaplan. The band formed by Gary follows successful runs with two other bands Rotator Cuff and Dandelion Fire in the 90's. Dandelion Fire opening for the likes of Blur, The Charlatans and Catherine Wheel and eventually signed to Shimmy Disc/ Koko Pop.
Rotator Cuff became a buzz following the release of an EP with the single "Alfa Romeo" on Park N Ride Records out of San Francisco. The Video for Alfa Romeo was featured on MTV's120 minutes and the music on House of Style, The Real World and unfiltered.
The CD also features two members of the Shaxe - Dan Coffey on bass/backing vocals & Brian Impellizeri on drums - as well as Kim Henry, former guitarist for the Churchills. Other Fletchers band members are listed on the CD along with their contributions.
