About The Flipoff Pirates

The Flipoff Pirates were formed in 1995 near the small town of Deer, Arkansas as a heavy funk groove band with an off the wall style of original music and poetic lyrical messages. They are a one of a kind band; transcending genres, labels, and categories, emanating the soul of the beautiful Buffalo River and the emotion of the Ozark Mountains. With hillbilly flair and an urban feel, The Pirates are a band like no other.

I was riding in the car the other day with some friends of mine after my concert at Basin Park that I performed with Gus, and it turns out that one of my buddies who came to watch was wearing a shirt that said "Flipoff Pirates". After the show, he was like, "Whoa! You play with Gus? His son is in my favorite band! And my girlfriend's brother is the bass player for it!" Then, he popped in a copy of your CD into the car, and I have to tell you, I LOVE it! I have been playing with Gus for years, and I guess I just never heard your music until now...but man, it's awesome! Don't stop! love, Anna

And Pat Villines & Mattie Speece return to Fayetteville fresh from their nation-wide radio appearance on Prairie Home Companion. Very fortunate to have guest artists of this caliber on a Wednesday night for six bucks. As always, these shows have a very intimate vibe. And we have the best 'listening' audience you'll ever find in a nightclub.
