Sounds Like
Had a friend do the 'sounds like' bit, but always seems rather presumptious to say we sound like anyone. There are many people we would love to sound like, and they are listed above. Maybe it is best for you to listen to the tracks and decide for yourselves :
"ACOUSTIC MUSIC AT IT'S VERY BEST. GREAT PLAYING AND BEAUTIFUL HARMONIES WITH THE SONGS TO MATCH. A REAL BREATH OF FRESH AIR ON THE ROOTS SCENE. " STEPHEN FOSTER B.B.C RADIO SUFFOLK.
The Floozies are : Daisy Windsor, guitar and vocals.
Paula Welham:sax and flute.
Sue Szymanski:bodhran and ethnic percussion
Based in Suffolk, The Floozies play mainly original acoustic material with unusual combinations of instruments.
If you like Eddie Reader, Beth Orton, Karine Polwart then this is the band for you.
The Floozies are well known for their energetic contemporary folk, melting sensitive lyrics with cool jazzy riffs and ethnic percussion.
Following the success of their first c.d, they have recently recorded and released their latest c.d; Dragonfly. This was launched after some fantastic support and air play on Radio Suffolk(thank you Steven Foster). It includes, after many requests to record it "The Fat Song". If you like your food, and can never get enough:) this is the song for you.
If you would like a copy of this, or their first c.d you can email the The Floozies on info@the floozies.co.uk. Their first c.d is £5 and their new one, Dragonfly is £6 plus £1.50 p.p.

Once drove an old sedan, up north, From a place in Sydney to Cairns; Then to Kuranda I went forth, By train, to look without set plans.
I browsed through the trendy market, With fresh fruits of tropical kind; Walked to the creek through lush thicket - Nature’s hand giving peace of mind.
I dined in a scenic cafe; Then, outside, as I wrote for yen, Some passing Kooris called-out: “Hey, You go walkabout with your pen.”
Request or question, I don’t know - Assured voices, elderly men. That’s now several years ago, And I’ve seen the world - with my pen.
