FLOW FACTORY, the Houston based hip hop group that has been on the grind since the early 90's under the name of THE EX-MIN FLEET, is now primed to make their name and sound internationaly known. Lyrically, they are some of the most well balanced emcees to grip a mic—freestyle or written. Extremely versatile and well rounded when it comes to any area of rhyme writing, it's as if they are possessed with a love for the Art of Rhyming that seems to have been lost in the Hip Hop/Rap community for years. FLOW FACTORY walks that fine line that very few Rappers have managed to unearth; you know that line that keeps the so called backpackers/purists in lyrical awe and the everyday Rap fan hyped to hit the closest club and wild out to a club banger. The DOUBLE F (FLOW FACTORY) is comprised of 3 very different, yet very similar individuals that each bring their own very valuable assets to the group, making it the musical behemoth that it is.
First up we have MINUS a/k/a DREAD, truly one of the Dirty South's best kept secrets. His delivery is only matched by his wisdom filled wordplay. His style makes you feel like saying "Amen brother!"....lol. MINUS is a deep thinker and it shows in his lyrics, but don't underestimate him because when it's time to get rowdy you do not want to be on the receiving end of any verse he has constructed...believe that!
Next up we have DOC STRANGE a/k/a MAVREK, the true emcee's emcee. A very creative writer with a knack to spit some of the most witty and exquisitely crafted metaphors to make any emcee, rapper, lyricist, whatever you consider yourself, run back to lab and start from scratch. That's how real it is. The flow is simultaneously fluid and mechanical, weaving his intricate style in and out and around the beat, only to crack you in the knot when the rhymes connect.
Last but most definitely not least, I give you LEX LUGER a/k/a BIG RUK. BIG RUK is a perfectionist when it comes to his beautifully crafted verses. This emcee has a passion for the craft that is utterly unmistakable. He's not only a master wordsmith, he's also superb with patterns. Now please realize this is a very humble individual, but when it comes to his gift he does not hesitate to brag about the potency of his lyrical caliber at any given moment. The bad or good thing about it, depending on where you stand, he can and will back those claims at the expense of your ego.
The DOUBLE F/FLOW FACTORY has been paying dues and earning a respect in Houston's underground scene for years. They have opened up for some of the most well known artists in Hip Hop. To add fire to the flame, they have actually been know to outshine some of the very acts they' ve opened for (to spare the easily bruised egos, we won't name names). The crew has opened for the likes of Common, Rah Digga of the Flipmode Squad, Helta Skelta, Pharoahe Monch, and others. The FLOW FACTORY then known as The EX-MIN have also headlined at countless venues across Houston and some of the surrounding cities in Texas. They are veterans in the game, make no mistake about that, yet with a master plan to bring something new and refreshing to the game as well. Beware to all those new and old, FLOW FACTORY is here to conquer and take it to that next level whether you like it or not. So either like it or love it...there's nothing else you can do.
