I think we went over this before in the "About Me" section, but here we go:
-Aviation
-Radio Control Stuff
-Photography
-Politics
-Airsoft
On a side note:
I recently got 5 of my photos published in the magazine "Scale Aircraft Modelling". Many thanks to Adrian Balch for that! January 2007 issue.)
Let's see: I really enjoy talk radio! I like to listen to Neal Boortz, Sean Hannity, and Bill Handel (Chris Krok, too). Regular radio station wise: any rock station.
Bands I like American Hi-Fi, Anberlin, Apocalyptica, Atreyu, Avenged Sevenfold, Beastie Boys, Billy Talent, Blink 182, Bowling For Soup, Breaking Benjamin, Collective Soul, Daughtry, dc Talk, Disciple, Disturbed, Dropkick Murphys, Flogging Molly, Foo Fighters, Goo Goo Dolls, Hoobastank, Killswitch Engage, Linkin Park, Metallica, My Chemical Romance, The Offspring, Paramore, Pillar, Puddle of Mudd, Rage Against The Machine, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Seether, Sevendust, Showbread, Sick Puppies, Staple, Sum 41, Switchfoot, Theory Of A Deadman, Trouble With Ferguson (Berlington), Tyler Read, Velvet Revolver, and Weezer.
And I like alot of German music such as: Juli, Silbermond, Rosenstolz, Fettes Brot, Wir Sind Helden, and Rammstein!
And of course my cousins' band, OMNIBUS!
Movies
Any kind of comedy. Borat, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Airplane 1 and 2, and any aircraft videos. Scary movie 1,2,3, and 4. The Boondock Saints and Suicide Kings. There are many other movies that I like, I just can't think of any of their names....
Americas Defense
Someone going by the name of "THUD", did an awesome job on this one and it carries a powerful message. Using Linkin Park's "Nobody's Listening", this video focuses on our military response to 9/11 and the message that we're trying to send. Since GrouchyMedia isn't a place for politics I'll just leave it at that and leave you to interpret any deeper meanings.
I don't know much about THUD. There was a video from him in early 2004 that wasn't ready for posting online but was a good first effort. Then THUD sent in this one after getting Adobe Premiere and little more practice editing. It's definitely some nice work and I'm proud to post it on the site.
So if you like Linkin Park and the lyrics to "Nobody's Listening", you'll definitely like this video. By using lines such as "blood, sweat, and tears" and "heart full of pain", timed perfectly to images of war in action, we get a real sense of the difficulties our soldiers face. This isn't a sappy video or a glossy look at war from high up at 10,000 feet from plane footage. We get a good balance of success, sacrifice, and struggle that US and allied forces are facing and going through.
Tell THUD what you think be emailing him here: thud@seccomm.net
Bomb Saddam
Video containing pictures and video footage from U.S. Army recruiting CDs and Aerospace Power 2000. To the song "Bombs Over Baghdad" by Outkast but it is remixed with some Rage Against the Machine.
Our Heroes
This is the first video on GrouchyMedia.com to come from Finland, and is another great tribute to our soldiers. The editor Mikko, did a nice job on a draft copy of this back in 2004 and sent me a preview that wasn't quite complete. He spent some more time on it and after the recent revisions made earlier this year I think everyone will enjoy the final copy.
The song is "Hero", by Nickelback, but there isn't much else I know about Mikko or the video so go download and enjoy!

Feel The Coast Guard
It's about time we had a video for the Coast Guard and this one makes the wait worthwhile! It was made by Brian Shajari, a Port Security Specialist in the Coast Guard Reserves, who goes to college when not called for active duty. He tell me he used Windows Movie Maker 2 for the editing and found the material on several Coast Guard websites and from some friends.
I think the music choice is perfect using "Somewhere I Belong" by Linkin Park. Brian worked on several versions of this video and this final edit goes prefectly to the music. There are high quality pictures and video of various Coast Guard units in action that most people have never seen before. Hopefully more people will have a chance now to see what a great force our US Coast Guard and Coast Guard Reserve provides for us at home and overseas!
Magic F18 Ride
The entire video is spent inside the cockpit of an F-18, from catapult launch, to landing back on the carrier with a thumbs-up. You'll really feel like you're riding on a "magic carpet" as the pilot banks and cruises through the clouds over the open ocean.
Now I wish I could tell you more about who made the video or even when it was done. Someone sent it in to me a while back and my efforts to find the editor and/or pilot have been unsuccessful. Perhaps someone out there can fill me in?
One thing that is clear is that this pilot is having a ton of fun! You can just imagine him singing along to "Magic Carpet Ride" by Steppenwolf. It's a great song choice and sure makes me wish I could be up there flying too!
Television
I watch Fox News the most of anything (Neil Cavuto and Sean Hannity rock! And Bill O'Reilly sometimes rocks).
I like to watch real tv type shows: Cops, Mythbusters, Dirty Jobs, Mega-Structures, and just about anything on the Discovery and History channels.
Books
Ha, uh....books? I need to read the Fair Tax book!
Heroes
Jesus Christ. All public personnel (Fire, EMT, Police, etc.) All the the men and women fighting to protect our freedom. You guys are the real heroes. I stand 100% behind our armed forces. No questions asked.
And you can add my parents to that list also.
I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4
About me: Well, let's see: I'm a little bit on the quiet side, until I get to know you. I'm fairly simple when it comes to clothes and stuff like that. I really don't care for the big brands like AE, Aeropostale, etc. I think alcohol is overrated, and smoking is slow suicide.
I'm pretty conservative minded in thoughts and politics. I am pro "lets the the job done in Iraq." The "pull out" strategy will fix nothing. If we pull out, all the lives of our fallen servicemen and women will have been an absolute waste. Let's finish what we started. And no, don't come up with this "Bush lied they died" crap. Google "WMD's found in Iraq" and start reading.
So it's 2008, and it is an election year. There is no way in heck I am voting for Hillary (liar who will say anything to get elected). Barack (too many weird friends he likes hanging out with)? Heck no. But I don't really care for McCain either....Although he is the lesser of the two evils...And no, I am not voting for that twit Ron Paul (who is out of touch with reality). So yes, I am opinionated.... But do I care what you think? Nooooo. :-)
Hobbies? I am a big time aviation geek. Flying is my passion! It's an absolutely undescribable feeling! While flying is great, I also love watching aircraft. You can find me at Tara Field in Hampton quite often hanging out. If you see me, come say "hey"! Aviation photography is sort of a side hobby for me. And it's proving to be a challenge to get the results I want! My current inventory is: a Nikon D50 camera body, Nikon D300 camera body, Nikon 18-200mm VR lens, Nikon 80-400mm VR lens, Nikkor 18-55mm lens, Nikkor 55-200mm lens, and Bogen/Manfrotto 681B monopod. I'm also a big radio control geek. I enjoy radio control cars, trucks, planes, and helicopters as well. It is also my job (yeah, that means I love my job ^^). Airsoft is also a bit of a side hobby for me. I just need to play more! And lastly, hot rods and old cars in general! Just about every Monday night, you'll find me a Summit, along with every other gear-head in Henry County! Oh and you NOPI/Ricer/drifter kids: please, keep your radios off, and leave your egos at home. No wonder you guys always get kicked out...
I am a Christian. If you have a problem with that, get over it. Although I'm not the type that discusses my faith openly or often, it does run deep within me. :)
Did I miss anything else? Just ask. I'm always up for meeting new people, so just add me or shoot me a message! :)

My Quiz
Who I'd like to meet: R/C icons...Curtis Youngblood, Quique Somezini, Alan Szabo, and Jason Krause. Also Neal Boortz and Sean Hannity. I would like to meet George W. Bush. A bunch of the airliners.net photographers too. And maybe a few friends from Germany!
