The Foil is music. An original band, consisting of rock, hard rock and metal, The Foil has the elements to keep your attention. With memorable choruses and catchy vocals, this band is a nice blend of heaviness and sound.
The Foil are four individuals from diverse musical influences. Based in north Texas, the band came together in August of 2006, consisting of former members of Ground, Somsara and Volusia.
Tony Cook - Vocals, Rhythm Guitar: Age 28, with 7 years band experience in vocals, guitar, and songwriting. Clean and distinct vocals with a temperamental discharge, “I can play a G.”
Joe Marshall - Lead Guitar: Age 27, 5 years band experience with the lead singer, the combinations of dynamics and originality come together to form the backbone of The Foil’s sound.
Cameron White - Drums: Age 37, 19 years experience with several bands. A Powerful drummer with timing and flash. He is the engine of The Foil…….
Matt Pressley - Bass: 16 years band experience of 32 years of existence. Press spent half of his life creating his sound. Highly influential in the band’s writing process, his rhythmic style is the final piece of what The Foil has become.
The Foil has been busy playing shows in the D/FW area and is set for larger stages. The band also plays an acoustic set at various bars and restaurants. They have gained local attention by being on KTEN (NBC), Dallas Renegade Radio and Texoma Music Television.
“We, as a band, should be heard…often. We are of a sound that is truly our own. We are tight, we are aggressive, and we are what is missing in rock.”
