The Foreign Resort - a battery of penetrating melodies
The Foreign Resort is new wave rock. A resonant vocal rambling between restless and frayed guitar sounds and a defiant rhythm section. The Cure stumbling into Sonic Youth.
The Foreign Resort has existed for about three years. During this period they have played shows throughout Denmark, Germany, Italy and the USA.
The band's debut album Offshore is available in Italy, USA and Denmark. The vinyl-only release was produced by Bo Karlsson and mastered by Jan Eliasson and released by Flat Ape Music in cooperation with the Copenhagen vinyl store Smukstøj.

Programmet til Nye rødder 09 er klar. Ambitionsniveauet er højnet men vi forbliver i samme hyggelige lokaler i Magstræde.
Vi glæder os til Howe Gelb og Giant Sand, Tony Scherr, Islandske ólöf Arnalds, og ikke mindst hvad der kan blive den bedste koncert overhovedet i efteråret The Whale watching tour (Sam Amidon, Valgeir Sigurdsson,Ben Frost, Nico Muhly + gæster). Hver især er de 4 verdenskendt for deres arbejde med Antony and the johnsons, Grizzly bear, Bonnie prince billy, Björk og mange flere nu spiller de for første gang sammen på dansk grund.
Ud over de udenlandske navne spiller bla. Robot feat. Claus Hempler Slaraffenland Er de Sjældne The rumour said fire Cody og mange flere......
