Rolling guitar riffs, pounding bass notes and clashing symbols come together to produce a funk-infused ’70s-rock sound in “Canker,” from Bloomington-based band The Founders’ debut album Exile in Charon. Most impressive are the guitar solos, which are some of the most intricate I’ve heard in contemporary music.
