Forgotten Promises are a 3-piece band who came together through their mutual love of emo/post-hardcore. Formed in August 04, with a line-up slightly different from today's, there have been highs (playing the Westport Bar in Dundee for their first show; recording their first EP; and the good times outwith the music) & lows (Hamish & Graeme playing on their own; Darroch & Graeme scrapping at practice; Darroch turning up hungover for everything; and the poor performance at the gig that shall never be mentioned again). Aside from all the highs & lows, at the end of the day it's all about the music & the guys coming together to do something they all love. Thanks for reading & showing interest, good work!
BIG things are happening for us just now at PV, it means that the ball for pv:UK is so nearly rolling. plans are beign set for some kick ass ideas and we want to get all scottish bands that we are into involved
SO
on that note, we are taking demos from any bands willing to play in Edinburgh at Planet verge shows. It doesnt matter what your style is just send us a CD (we prefer CD';s as to myspace links but if you dont have one give us a link anyways so we can try our best to check you out!)
When sending a CD please give all the info on your band possible, press, bio, photos and what have you.PLEASE leave your contact details (ie. an email you check regularaly and a phone number- you would be suprised how many people do not do this) This way we can keep you on file for Planet verge shows and send you regular emails with info on oppertunities, show spots and show trades we have.
Speaking of planet verge shows something absolutely ace is going to be happening sooon if all goes to plan. all the relevent lovely people will be contacted soon.
its so sweet im actualy so excited!
So in summary: if you are a edinburgh/scottish band who can play in edinburgh PLEASE message back so we can give yo uthe address to send all your demos for gigs.
also by doing this we have you on file for when our peeps down south want to trade shows with us so you can play to new audiences. By being on our files it means when you play PV scottish shows you automaticaly gain press in many exciting forms soon to be revieled and your gig is sponsored by some AMAZING people and companies.
It's a good deal!
So either message back OR email gina@planetverge.com for more info!

I'll have to sort out transport now for gear obviously so I'll ask Princess Fiona and a mate of mine the other guys can get the train because Kev works for the train company and gets cheap tickets.
I can get us into - Trillians, Head of Steam, Fishtank, Krash and the little pubs too but I don't fancy doing shitty pubs.
We should have a song from each band where the vocalists get up and do additional vocals or something for a laugh?
MAJOR car smash. Flipped over three times and everything at 60 mph. I'm a very lucky guy to still be here.
Well, if we wait until the dawn of the new year and you come here and gig once or twice and we'll do the same up in Scotland to get people familiarised with the different bands and then we'll sort some sort of tour for the summer?

About gigs, this is only a wee one, but it's one all the same. If you were gonna play it you'd be best having other ones too instead of coming just for this. Anyway, details.
It's at Strathclyde Uni, either phone a David McPhee - 0141 567 5025, or email him at dmcphee@theunion.strath.ac.uk.
