Welcome, hello, hiya, and so on. You've found your way to the myspace of The Frantic. We are five boys who play an original, groundbreaking hybrid of indie, dance, trance, nu-rave, grime, speed metal and dutch polka. Okay, maybe we're just an indie band. We prefer the term "Rave-Rock" though. But, back to business.
We've been a proper band since April 2007 (altough our myspace says otherwise), and have since been writing, recording, playing gigs and generally having a wicked time. We've played with bands such as The Wombats, The Twang, Ra Ra Riot, Mr Hudson and the Library, The Anomlies, We Start Fires, Scouting For Girls, Neils Children, (we are) Performance, Selfish C*nt, , Proxy, Envelopes, and the legendary Ageseat (beeyatch!), and have participated in a myriad (okay, two) unsigned competitions (O2 undiscovered finalists and winners of BandRepublic). The O2 competition allowed us to play at Wireless festival this year to a packed out Bubble stage, and the BandRepublic competition means we are now releasing a single (Killing Time) slated for around January of 2008.
So yeah, listen to the tunes, have a little dance in your seat, come and see us live if you feel the need, we're all about the live shows.....if you feel even more of a need to be close to us, feel free to come say hi after a show, we're always happy to chat brap.
