About The Freak Accident

After twenty plus years as singer/guitarist/ringleader/provocateur of Northern California's Victims Family, Ralph Spight went solo in 2004 with the release of the Freak Accident's epynonymous debut release. The album was a shock to those used to Ralph's penchant for cut and paste histrionics over a mathy punk soundtrack, what with it's latin samba surf,blues and even piano ballads. The live show became an improvisational deconstruction of the tunes at times with trumpet keyboards and guitar wrangling over solo sections. With the departure of trumpeter Jab the Freaks become a trio with Kimo Ball (Carneyball Johnson/Griddle) on bass and Big Mike (Capitol Punishment/Hell's Kitchen/Fang) and have released a set of eleven new angular, guitar driven poisoned pen rock songs with the arrival of the second Freak Accident set entitled "Tissue Sample" on their own Nerve Center Recordings label. The album is available from thefreakaccident.com on CD and LP ,on cd at CD Baby .com and for download at iTunes and other fine online merchants.We recently completed a month long euro tour with Canadian legends No Means No and are preparing to destry eardrums and expectations throughout the US of A this coming year.
