The Free Xerxes Foundation was founded in March of 2005 when visionary Aaron Finbloom (otherwise known as Finny) saw a flyer for 'The Sounds of the Swamp' - a local band competition. He quickly contacted his number one jam buddy, Derek Eder, and 'serious getting to business' got underway. They recruited Steve Winkler, an amature bassist, and Carlos Huet-Cox, a self-proclaimed anarchist. The combination was mind-blowing, as was their sound. Something was missing, however - the tender bosom of a female. To fill this role they found none other than all-Jewish a-capella member Michelle Blumsack. She was quickly put to work on the keyboard and the circle was finally complete. The Free Xerxes Foundation has since been making sonorous, succulent sounds.
