Brothers, Andy (27) & Richard Bunney (22) (A.K.A. Freskfounkerz) have been djing together for only a year.
Andy has been djing since 1999, when, his love affair with house music began. Shortly after purchasing his first set of turntables, a DJ competition win lead to a residency at the Glamorous and hugely established Miss Moneypennys. Within 6 months, Andy was asked to play a number of venues which secured weekly (and monthly) residencies in Leicester, Nottingham, London, Birmingham, Poland and most recently, Switzerland, Germany, Ireland, Ibiza and Austria.
Richard’s first venture in to house music was a music technology course which lead to his first release at the tender age of 16. Richard has since focused more on djing around the midlands and building up residencies. This year, Richard and Andy have starting working in the studio and djing out together to form the double act, the Freskofunkerz.
Since becoming a ‘double act’, the brothers have amazed crowds with their technical ability behind the CDJs, keeping party goers entertained for hours at a time. The next few months show great promise in the UK, Europe, especially Germany, where their energy, love, feel for the music has had such a positive influence on the German audience that the double act have become sought after throughout the country playing a blend of funky/club/deep/vocal house music.
Recently Andy & Richard have joined the ‘Reelgroove’ family in December 2006 as residents and representatives in the midlands. Since Joining, Andy has secured the weekly titled 'reelgroove basement sessions' @ Bluu, Nottingham, along with a monthly night @ Htwo0 in Leicester
Andy's Collaboration with Filin Brake and Diana Waite - 'Missing Me' has been signed to REELGROOVE records and has been released on reelgroove records, early 2009..
