BIOGRAPHY

"Born to be Dead" will be released, finally, at Contra-Light-Records end of April 2009!
Distribution is organized with NMD and the fans can expect a lot. The Fright are closer, more complex, harder, and blacker, then ever. 80's hard rock meets wave and gothic rock without loosing the original roots in horror punk. The Frights created there own style with the new songs: Horrock'n'Roll.
"Born to be Dead" will increase the list of listeners and fans just because one think is clear:
Once heard "Born to be Dead" is a giant black hole which sucks you up without return!

The Fright was founded in 2002 by Lon (git., voc), Kain (bass,backvoc and Noiseferatu (dr.) The sound of The Fright reminds of bands like Misfits, Samhain and Danzig but The Fright used from the beginning by now their own songs. The first gig was played in March 2003. After some more gigs and a lot of rehearsals they produced the first record "7 of the blackest Songs on Earth". The album was recorded in only one day with very simplistic materials. The feedback on the record was more than positive and step by the step the band gained more publicly day after day.
In summer 2004 they got the offer to publish some songs on different samplers and at the same time they recorded 3 new songs. Unfortunately Noise reached his musical limits which created problems in within the band - the break-up followed as a result.
End of summer2004 came Seares joined as new drummer. Already 3 weeks later The Fright gave their first concert with the new drummer at the Horrorpunkfestival at Oberhausen together with The Other and The Crimson Ghosts.
Since this time they are working constantly on new songs and have had a lot of live performances. 2005 The Fright played 25 concerts amongst others as opener for the Japanese Horrorpunkband Nr.1 Balzac at Leipzig. After this The Fright made a break for about 1 year, they wrote some lyrics but nothing really thrilling was happened. End of 2005 they recorded 4 new songs which in the beginning of 2006 were supposed to be published but then were used for demo purposed only. A tour planned for February in 2006 was cancelled on short notice and in general the work between the agencies and the band did not work out too successful.

Since the beginning of 2007 The Fright got with "RockitBaby" a new, reliable Partner on board. The live activities increased and Balzac checked with hem if the were prepared to play as a Support act for some of their German- tour concerts.

On top of that the band recorded an album on their own. The first record "Dacabre" was released in October 2007 at Contra-Light-Records. The press was full of positive feedback and comments for it. Since May 2008 "Dacabre" is distributed by New Music Distribution which gave the band a new international platform..
Shortly after the release of the record the band started to write new songs for the next release. The rehearsal room transformed into a studio in August 2008 to start the recording of the second long player.
