The Frost

Bio:

The Frost was founded in winter 2004/2005 as an one man Black Metal band. The first demo “In Conspiracy With Nature” was already recorded from the beginning of 2005 as a self release in pro CD-R format, limited to 120 copies mainly for promotional purposes.

Later that year Irminsul Records from Germany released “In Conspiracy With Nature” on tape, as a limited edition of 100 copies. In the beginning of 2006 the second demo titled “Damned And Forgotten” was recorded and released as a self-released for promorional reasons. Later in 2006 Ravenheart Productions from the Czech Republic released “Damned And Forgotten” on tape, as a limited edition of 300 copies. After that the south Korean underground label Nerbilous Productions with whom I have been in contact since the formation of “The Frost”, in co-operation with Kerzakraum Records finally released “Damned And Forgotten” + three bonus tracks from the first demo “In Conspiracy With Nature” in professional CD format, as a limited edition of 1000 copies. This way all who are interested in “The Frost” can find the two first demos of the band on one CD, which is for me a very practical and interesting release. During the Autumn and the Winter of 2006/2007 the EP “Sound Of The Frozen Hate” was recorded, which is released by Strigoi Records from Poland in pro CD-r format, and in tape format by Gorpubelatze Productions from Spain.

After that, two split releases was released during 2008. It was a split CD with Black Fire from Colombia which is released through the Kerzakraum Records and 3 way split CD with Massemord from Norway and Valdur from USA which is released through the Blackmetal.com records which is our current label now. On the begenning of 2009 our new EP “Everlasting Damnation”is released on tape by the Splendour Production from Germany.

Currently we are working hard on our first full-length album “…of the forests unknown” which will be released through the Blackmetal.com records during this year.

That would be a quick briefing of the current happenings related to The Frost. These days The Frost is stronger than ever before, I finally found serious members that in the first place are my good friends. They are guys that truly showed interest in serious work in The Frost, so now we are definitely live active band and we’ll try to play as many concerts as possible, festivals as well, as it’s still the best way to promote the band. Though time will show that what we’ve done so far is only the beginning and how persistent and determined we are in our intent to make The Frost a recognizable black metal band in the future.
